Robin Gregory, Solopreneur
The 1st century Latin proverb “Still Waters Run Deep” is attributed to Alexander the Great, translated thus: “the deepest rivers flow with the least sound”. More commonly defined today to mean that a calm exterior often is combined with a passionate nature.
I passionately, and calmly, work with companies to communicate their products and services clearly, accurately and thoroughly. Sometimes that means original art, illustration or photo editing, perhaps well targeted headlines or body copy, or working with a photographer, videographer or web developer at the top of their craft. Often, all of the above! Knowledge really is power when the right customer truly understands that your product is the best solution.
I use a long-honed combination of skills and process to listen deeply, question, analyze and execute. It is important to me that my customers are as inspired and excited by the work we create together as their customers are.
A native of Roanoke, Va, I fell in love at an early age with the tools and smells of my father’s architecture office – old style of course! Hailing from generations of architects and engineers up and down Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, I appreciate precision combined with creativity. Early in my career I was extremely fortunate to work with creative masters Jay Fields, Brian Smith and many uber talented senior creative directors. As a college professor in Salt Lake City, UT, I gained new respect for the responsibility of serving.
I love nothing more than settling into the project at hand to help my clients be seen and heard in a clear, concise voice. I work with companies and manufacturers of all sizes, with in-house marketers, and with creative agencies needing an extra pair of hands. I am as equally excited by the details of industrial textiles as of a tourist destination. If you recognize a need to create a more effective message or visual brand, or just want to talk about the possibilities, please get in touch.
